Today in Massachusetts we have a chance to add a woman to an important male-dominated club - the U.S. Senate. This club has 100 members and currently has only 17 women. Hmm - do you think that may be the reason that items that would be on a woman's agenda are rarely discussed? There are times when I believe we need woman-only or male-only places of business - the restroom is one - Congress is not one. I know that people are passionate about the current healthcare bill debate, but I remind you that this is one issue and our Massachusetts senator will have a myriad of debates ahead. If women can't support other women and believe that we need equality at every level of government, America will continue to fall behind other countries in the world who focus on family. America needs both women and men leaders. So, I remind you when one woman wins we all win.
