4 Reasons Women Entrepreneurs Need A Business Coach

Starting a business is one of life's momentous decisions whether you are male or female. Women, however, typically have greater obstacles to conquer before and after making the decision and with following through on the commitment.

Enter a business coach -- preferably a women's business coach  -- who has experience as an entrepreneur and has worked with numerous other women entrepreneurs.

Here are 4 reasons why women entrepreneurs need a business coach: woman coach

(1) A Cheerleader - As much as the media talks about the increase numbers of women starting businesses in America, our society continues to question women's decision making when they choose to leave large corporate salaries in order to launch their own business. The naysayers are rarely quiet when stay-at-home Moms come to the conclusion to turn their passion into a business either. In other words, women entrepreneur wannabes need a cheerleader to stand with them while others in their life find a multitude of reasons as to why entrepreneurship is not the right move at the right time or the right place. Finding a cheerleader (women's business coach) who has 'been there and done that' and therefore understands the pressure coming from all angles keeps YOUR eye on the prize --- turning your business concpet into a success.

(2) A Visionary - A business coach brings experience of formerly operating a business as well as the experience learned from her other clients currently growing businesses. Just as a doctor's knowledge of a variety of illnesses assists with a diagnosis and health plan for a patient, a business coach's direct participation with many companies provides her the skill to see the big picture for an entrepreneur.

(3) Accountability - A business coach holds an entrepreneur accountable. Getting it all done is critical to being a successful entrepreneur. Making lists, having great ideas, and even developing the perfect business plan won't guarantee an entrepreneurial success unless goals are clearly designed and met.

(4) A Partner/Mentor - A business coach becomes the person an entrepreneur turns to for feedback on daily decisions. A good coach asks questions from her experience and leads by example. She does not make demands or provide definite answers. She creates scenarios so her client can see the problem from a variety of positions. Most important, the women's business coach, as a woman herself, completely understands the mental stress and societal pressure on her client. She can relieve the feelings of isolation and going it alone that her client undoubtedly will experience. Providing clarity to situations that can so often become overwhelming to entrepreneurs is what a business coach does best.

Every successful small business has these four things in common---an owner who feels motivated, inspired, accountable and supported.
