Women Entrepreneurs Must Lead With A Moral Compass
Women entrepreneurs, particularly, often find it difficult to say exactly what they do. Perhaps it is because we spend so much time being all things to all the people in our lives. The problem, however, becomes critical in our business life.
3 Tips For Women Entrepreneurs To Increase Sales
Entrepreneurship is all about juggling a lot of balls in the air --all at the same time. Managing the business, the people, the space, the R&D of the product and/or service, the marketing (including the website) and YES - most importantly, the sales.
Why Women Entrepreneurs MUST Care About Women's History Month
March is Women's History Month. March 8, 2012 is International Women's Day. .....and before you say, "Who cares?" (and I know that many of you out there feel this way as you've emailed me, I've read your blogs and you've told me to my face)
3 Lists Women Entrepreneurs MUST Check Every Day
Women are no stranger to writing lists! As a matter of fact, research shows that women attribute a more organized life based on their ability to create lists and stick to them. Women have grocery lists, honey-do lists, wish lists, gift lists, list of children's chores, lists of children's behaviors and more. Most women report a sense of victory when they are able to check off each item on their list.
I have to admit I wait all year long for this night -- Oscar Night! The fantasy of dressing like a princess and winning an award for what we do best is the dream of every women entrepreneur. After all -- we just want to be respected for our hard work and taken seriously by our fans!
The marketing world has changed dramatically. No longer can an entrepreneur "build it and expect them to come." Of course, that concept was never really true. Once it (product or service) was built it needed to be promoted to the decided target market through advertising vehicles such as print ads, billboards, radio, marketing brochures, flyers, free handouts or demos and more.
As a women's business coach I tell my clients, whether they are launching a new business or growing an established business, continue to say to yourself:
"I am woman, hear me roar," sang Helen Reddy in 1972 to commemorate a surge in the women's movement. The idea that women should be seen, but not heard took a back seat and this song became the mantra for women in all walks of life.
"Timing in life" is everything we hear over and over again in regards to our career, our relationships and our life. Too often, however, the timing we talk about is in the past. If only we had taken that job, or accepted that proposal or taken better care of ourselves? The "if onlys" in our life suck the dreams of the future out of us.
